An assessment will be broken down into the following components
- Subjective assessment - include a series of questions and history taking, to get a deeper understanding of your needs and goals
- Objective assessment - a movement analysis of different joints and muscles, through observation and hands on assessment. You may be asked to move through different positions, such as lying, sitting and standing/walking if able.
- Cognitive assessment (if appropriate) – an analysis of physical and paper based assessments designed to identify deficits in the main areas of cognition
- Visual assessment (if appropriate) – an analysis of visual function with paper and IT based assessments
- Outcome measures – appropriate numerical scores and/or questionnaires will be used to measure progress
- Goal Setting – a discussion around your goals to set realistic, achievable and measurable goals
